This book is OK. More practical than some with a number of useful tips distributed in the text. It does not cover as much ground as the preface indicates but is a worthwhile book for the model engineer who started without industrial training.
Have had this in use for about a week. It is being used to hold in position (a) a Persian rug laid over an 80% wool carpet, (b) two rugs made from the same carpet as that they are lying on (also an 80% wool carpet). So far all three rugs have stayed in place and show no signs of moving.
It is OK as a summary of recent British History, amusingly written and very readable. With such a large subject the writer is, of course, unable to provide much detail though there are a good number of references.
