4.0 out of 5 stars Fish Is Back On Track, 21 Feb 2008
I've followed his career for many years and own most of his albums so i'm quite a keen fan of Fish.
By the time I got my copy of `13th Star' there were approx 12 reviews here on Amazon, all highly positive, well written and informative, stating things like his `best album ever' so I was eager to hear what all the fuss was about. I don't want to repeat what others have already said so i'll keep this short.

I have been a huge fan of Bent since I first heard their music on the Carlsberg 'bank' advert some years ago. Overall, this 2nd album is not quite as good as their first 'Programmed to Love' but hey, i'm not complaining. It contains what is possibly their best song ever, 'Beautiful Otherness', featuring Jon Marsh (from The Beloved) on vocals. Wow, this song is soooo good and the bass is outstanding. Play loud with as much bass as your system can muster. Totally awesome which is why I am giving this album 5 stars.

I've gave it quite a few listens now and i'm afraid to say I feel that this latest collection of songs on 'Intercept' seem to lack something. They all sound very 'samey'. The fantastic sound and polished production is missing and the songs generally feel weak. On all earilier albums I usually find 2 or 3 songs which are really outstanding but in this latest venture, there seem to be none. The standout track on Intercept is no.3 'Stay out all night'. This is very catchy and instantly likeable but there are no other gems. Maybe they just wanted to make a few changes and try new things… Read more
