Men Opening Umbrellas Ahead ~ Vivian Stanshall
5.0 out of 5 stars Viv's Debut Solo LP, 19 Jun 2013
Marvelous to hear this again, restored to a new/former glory. Features a legendary cast of early 70s pioneering African musos in london such as Mongezi Feza & Gasper Lawal, the themes are distinctly afro in nature with marginal BDDB interjections. For 1974, this preceded the embrace of world music - Viv was always interested in unusual instrumentation. For a great trip back down memory lane, view the documentary that came out prior to the lp in 74: (A Week with Vivien Stanshall)

Jim White is the Real Deal. Nuff said. Buy this and all the others. Now! Money well spent. If you haven't already seen the film: Searching For A Wrong Eyed Jesus buy the DVD after you've acquired the CDs. Then tell your friends.

Definitely better than Liars which is kind of hard to imagine cos' that's pretty awesome. Sir Reality - the closer deserves special mention. These are definitely the times we are living in. Party Liqueur will have you dancing - even me and I'm 53. The novelty (sic) track Angry Birds works well. Imagination is a great opener and Serious is… Read more
