Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the R&hellip by S.C. Gwynne
I had little knowledge of this subject to be honest and was brought up believing cowboys were good and Indians bad (I generalise). I note from some of the reviews that folk are arguing about the accuracy and I can't comment on that, but this is a very interesting read, linking familes and tribes. It is quite a long book, although nearly a third is made up with links to the research used. If only partly true, the 'white man' should hang it's head in shame. Highly recommended.
Night of Wolves (The Paladins #1) by David Dalglish
5.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyable, 9 Mar 2014
If you have read this author before, you will probably have an idea of what you will get. Personally I prefer the Paladins series to the Half Orcs series. I can't quite put my finger on it, it may be the characters, but these seem slightly easier to read. The characters are great and a simple yet effective storyline.
Hard Wired: A Crash Course in Small College Footba&hellip by Jebb A. Rebal
5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, what an ending, 9 Mar 2014
I love American footy, so was interested to read this, helped by the fact it was very cheap (may even have been free). Excellently written and full of content (lots of university type behaviour), the ending was a real smack in the chops! Very good book.
