It looks a bit dated, but this book is really handy if you're cooking for big numbers. Most recipes serve 6 or 8 and there is detailed advice on how to scale them up to 25, 50, 100. (I've often found that the greater your numbers, the less they eat individually, especially, of course, if people aren't sitting down). The book is arranged by menus,tailored to events, summer bday in garden, christening, xmas buffet etc and at the back there are some really handy basic recipes. The recipes are easy to follow and the those I have tried taste great. I particularly like the speedy menus. I'm glad I bought this.
