A thoroughly good book. A well written account of the life of a fascinating man. It doesn't matter whether you are interested in racing or not, this is a book worth reading. I raced through it in a couple of days and loved every minute of it.

As this book progresses it becomes ever more ludicrous and for the first time in years I'm about to give up having already ready 75% of it.

Dale Brown's story telling is actually pretty good, but this certainly isn't the military techno thriller I was expecting. It starts out in a vaguely plausible way but rapidly descends into utter farce as the central characters unleash their utterly implausible Robocop character on the Turkish army. If you want a good trashy read (which I really do), this isn't it. Save your money and buy a Tom Clancy, Jeffrey Archer or even Clive Cussler.
