Set against the rugged backdrop of the Dublin mountains the drama of the characters' lives evolves from rigid conformism to alternative choices, reflecting changing Irish Society and mores. A well written and confident first novel. With influences from celtic mysticism the language is poetic and descriptions of Wicklow landscapes evoke the natural beauty of the place, a book which will resonate with many.
