....& I mean cheap. No, really, this one was done on the CHEAP; & if you're reading a review for a film like Carver, it's probably fair to say you've seen your share of zero budget trash. This one has lower production values than all of them.
BUT...you know those films that claim to be throwbacks to the time of late seventies / early eighties old school horror? The stuff that got Graham Bright & Mary Whitehouse so hot under the collar? Well, for once, this one lives up to that claim, (&, let's face it, those original films often had terrible production values).

After his father is murdered, a boy goes to live & work with his uncle, who runs an underground storage facility. Together they decide to investigate one of the clients, who may or may not be storing evidence of a serious crime....
Had high expectations of this Aussie thriller, based on reading various other reviews, and, taken on face value, it is entertaining enough. However, its pedestrian direction never lifts it above the average; the eerie underground storage facility setting is never used to its full potential, & the film misses out on some great chances to generate chills.
O.K, but forgettable.

....Everything you need from this period of their career really. The debut album, the 1st 2 Peel Sessions, BBC In Concert stuff, b-sides....Great book too (it can replace your dog-eared Light At The End Of The Tunnel biography).
What surprises is how well the guitar of Brian James stands up; paired with the demented drumming of Scabies it still sounds more primal & urgent, more rock'n'roll, than most bands today.
....Music For Pleasure still sucks though....
