5.0 out of 5 stars A great read!, 3 Mar 2003
Drama, suspense and magic, this story has it all.
Set in a world where magic has lain dormant for generations "Sorcery rising" proved to be all I hoped for and more. The characters are dynamic, they're life-like and you can relate to them all. She's drawn alto of inspiration from the ancient cultures of scandinavia and the middle east, all the while creating her own spin on it.
A great debut, by an astounding author. If you miss it, you'll miss one of the greatest works of fantasy out there.

You'll notice that I only gave the author four stars, this is because in some cases… Read more

Forget sandman
Forget necronomicon
Forget Anne Rice
Roman Dirge does it again, with his macabre wit and his underlying illustrations.
It's packed with strokes of genious like "critter pie", "pearhead man" and of course "something at the window scratching"
If you liked lenore, if you liked sandman, you'll love this book. A must!
