Great movie which is just stunning to watch. I've enjoyed other recent war films that take slightly different angles than the usual epics (Female Agents/Max Manus). Bomber is similar, taking a Ukrainian perspective of two Soviet fighters stranded in Nazi territory. It's very classic looking, full of really impressive, high budget action sequences, and is genuinely moving. Perfect if you enjoy WWII/Russian history.

Starts off well enough, launching you right into the action with very little context, but quickly becomes sentimental, drawn out and a bit melodramatic (well, for an alien movie) There are some great shots and the CGI looks good, but the trailer, with the awesome Johan Johansson track, was totally misleading. Could have been much much better

This has been a great year for documentaries and Knuckle is another fascinating film to add to the list. It's about warring Irish traveller families who settle disputes through bare knuckle fights. Gyspy stories have become popular since My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, and this film takes a look at a ritual which is just as bizarre. The fights are hardcore, and the characters are hard to forget. Knuckle is gritty and brutal, but also really enjoyable
