Three interesting little tales, all dealing with exiles. The first tale (which is about 130 pages long and can therefore be viewed as a short novel in its own right) is set in Victorian Gibraltar and features an ex-con with an afflicted conscience. The other two tales are shorter and set in recent times . I especially liked the second title (`Intermission'), which has a mad, chaotic quality to it which made me think that narrator was either drunk or under the influence of drugs. The third and final tale - which is set in Rome and features a Kossovan Serb - is good too, though not as powerful I thought as the other two. All in all, an interesting Kindle book. The 2nd book in the superb "worlds of deep space nine" trilogy again contains two seperate stories revolving pivotal planets in the Deep Space Nine story line.
Trill - Is a great story picking up on the events of Unity and the whole Parasite affair. While this was a good read I thought the overall the story left me wanting something more from the parasites, something grander than the explanation. It will be interesting whether this plot line is wrapped up or will be picked up again later. The ramifactions for Trill's standing in the federation will be interesting to see how this pans out.
