Replacement for out of date stick, 3 May 2013

This was bought to replace our existing 'After Bite' stick. If it comes even close to being as good, it will be great. We used it on just about every 'bite' during many summers (yes! the hot ones) and holidays. We just felt we needed to replace it with anew one.

I bought them for a Megane to protect from building site dirt and dirty clothes. They are great!
They are a snug fit to the seat back, which is quite thick, including the headrest.
The seat is more generous and is elasticated with extra elastic loops to pull it tight.
I would have given five stars but for the lack of access to the Megane seat tilt control on the top of the seat back. The seat slide controls are still accessible by lifting the edge of the cover.
The material is a navy blue and seems strong enough to be very practical.

The lamp, which is smaller than most, seems well made and rugged enough for the exposed position on the house.
The light output is much whiter (like moonlight) than the halogen lamps it replaced.
It does not quite live up to the 'equivalent to 150w' claim, but not too far off. However, it does have the advantage of the multiple light sources not giving the `hard edges' to shadows you usually get from halogen lamps.
The light is reassuringly directional and does not just `flood' the entire neighbourhood.
The sensor is independently adjustable (vertically) for area to cover, but the light takes around a second to power up after the sensor has clicked to indicate movement… Read more
