The WWE's compilation DVDs have remained of fantastic quality no matter how much the quality of the modern product has suffered in the last 5 years. This latest set includes some of the most spectacular ladder matches that have ever been seen. Rather than featuring a documentary with bonus matches like some of their DVDs, this set thankfully keeps to the matches themselves, although most matches have some footage of the build-up to them or even a brief interview with one of the participants (eg Edge or HBK) which is quite useful. Unfortunately the matches are introduced by the ever-annoying Todd Grisham.

As with any Final Fantasy game, the soundtrack is often the most memorable part of the experience and Nobuo Uematsu doesn't let us down. The soundtrack to Final Fantasy 7 was regarded by many as being perfect in every way but in its own way, the Soundtrack to FF8 is just as good.

The themes are a mixture of dark choral pieces to piano to all sorts of other styles, reflecting the more modern and realistic feel of the game compared to its predecessors.

The tracks are more or less featured in the order they appear in the game (with a few exceptions, such as "Lunatic Pandora" being on Disc 4 despite appearing relatively early in the game). This means that the soundtrack… Read more
