5.0 out of 5 stars An extraordinary book., 16 Sep 2014
A page turner. Very relevant to today's world situation, and lends depth and understanding to news stories. A long book, but the tension is kept high all the way through.
The Face of the Tiger by Ursula Curtiss
The Face of the Tiger by Ursula Curtiss
An excellent short psychological thriller from the classical era of this genre of story, the 50s to the 70s. Not a lot of grisly details, but twisted playing with the mind of the victim. Both a whodunit and a whydunnit. .
The Crossing Places: A Ruth Galloway Investigation by Elly Griffiths
5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 16 May 2014
Ruth Galloway would be a wonderful person to meet. Overweight, badly dressed, terrible hairdo, nearly 40. Her life is about to become very complicated indeed. A forensic archaeologist specialising in bones, Ruth lives in an isolated cottage on the Saltmarsh which eventually she has to battle to save her life. A truly exciting story, which is extremely well written and conjures up the flat bleakness, wide skies and sudden wild winds of Norfolk.
