I thought this book was a bit piecemeal - almost like it was rushed & didn't have much of a central idea. A rambling intro and then an extended glossary of monetary terms - not all of which I thought were correct or particularly helpful. The tone is trying to be Bill Bryson, folksy, humble, everyman... but comes across as a bit patronising, sort of "I don't know that much, but I know a little bit more than you, so laugh at the jokes". "The Undercover Economist" by Tim Harford is a much better primer for the financial world. Also, in this edition there's a typo in an acronym, in the glossary - EBITDA is spelt EDITDA. A bit Freudian perhaps... more editing required.
