5.0 out of 5 stars Best Cast ever!, 15 July 2014
BBC Drama at its very best! Brilliantly cast with superb actors - not a weak person in it and a script which is so sharp it could make your eyes water. I found the second series even greater than the first, as the plot was more intense, more moving and had stunning climax. I am furious with the BBC for not giving us a third series. "Mad Men" has been much compared with this but that is a sprawling mass of American egotism, flaunting its retro style with less real substance or gripping story line, compared to this finely-tuned masterpiece.

It has the best selection of actors for any TV drama I have yet seen. They had to be good to hold the force of the never-flagging script… Read more

The Borgias - Season 3 [DVD] DVD ~ Jeremy Irons
I don't know if finances prevented another season of this lavish and totally absorbing production but it is a crime to the world of drama that it finished at only three seasons. This is so good that I keep on buying it for other people as pressies. Mine goes everywhere with me and I hear that other people take theirs on holiday with them as well. It works with your iPhone, your laptop, your iPod, your iPad. It goes in the kitchen, in the dining room, in the bathroom, everywhere. It's neat, it's cute and it works well. You can walk it around in the palm of your hand with your iPhone. You only need to master the basic functioning of how to get it to be recognised by Bluetooth (it's in the little manual which covers all the info you need) and you will have hours of music at almost any volume you desire - it can really knock out the sound!
