Personally, I found the single campaign highly tedious and found myself jumping onto Dark Crusade before I even reached the fourth level (of either side).

When I play RTSs, I like to be left alone from pointless and frankly asinine 'storylines' weaving their way around base-building and assaults. In the case of Winter Assault, not only are these storylines frequent, they are as pointless and as assinine as computer cut-scenes get, with a vaguely beleivable subplot tying all races together in frankly demented fashion.
