Just as I felt I was getting into this it ended!! I bought the book without even reading the back, I just saw it was a new Patricia Cornwell and figured it was the next Scarpetta novel! So was a little surprised when I read the first few pages and then checked the back!!

Just can't help feeling a little short changed (I always but her books as soon as they come out) it should have been longer! I know though that it was based on a newspaper serialisation but still I would have preferred more in-depth character backgrounds, as there were so many to follow, I wanted to care more about them.

But I'd recommend this to any Cornwell fan to decide for themselves - but not sure… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Modern Thriller, 26 July 2006
I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was a fresh modern thriller with all the required twists. If you enjoy these kind of staple thrillers you won't be dissapointed. Great book to pass the time on the journey to work or keep you occupied on the plane.

I always meant to watch this but i just never seemed to get around to it. My friends talked about it as one of those classic films that you must see. And now I can see why they raved about it. Especially those that have travelled - and maybe travelled with the illusion that they will meet someone like Ethan Hawk or Julie Delphy on a random train. And I do agree with many of the characters musings. There is always that feeling that you will look back on your life and think "I wish maybe I had done this or done that or stayed with him/her"
