I think Schellert's book is just the kind of short volume that could really shake things up for a lot of people both inside and outside the church. Schellert presents the bold teachings of Jesus in a way that is simple, accessible and most importantly loving. Schellert examines what it practically means to pull down our man made boarders and boundaries, cross over the rubble and offer radical acceptance and hospitality to the one (or ones) we have consider to be the other and/or outsider. The book is peppered with plenty of anecdotes and personal stories to help get the imagination of the reader going.
