Far Cry 3 - a long but honest review - by Lifeschool

As a dedicated player of both of the preceding games, I was eager to love this game no matter what. Unfortunately, try as I might, this game is NOT the ultimate Far Cry experience for the 21st century. Heck, this game feels like an extension or a small update rather than the full blown revolution it was hyped to be, and certainly given the extended deadlines and delays with this game I would have expected a bit more.

But lets get into some of the good stuff. First the Far Cry world is simply stunning in the visual department. It's like they took the best bits of the first two games (graphically) and gave them all an… Read more

There are two sides to this track - an up-front professional baseline and soft drum riff (including a cowbell section), and a background beat with a few vague guitar licks and a more subtle. The base and drum part ranks amoung the most slick and professional that the band has ever produced, with echos of the bands early 80's chic with the smoothness of a 21st century digital studio production. The riff is instantly very hooky and starts the track off to a brilliant start. This part reminded me of a speeded up version of Desecration Smile, but so much bolder and so much more fleshed out. This is a good thing. The second aspect of the track; namely the lead and vocals; seem like much… Read more
