Star Wars: The Truce at Bakura by Kathy Tyers
After the amazing news of new Star Wars movies in 2015, I decided, I need to read the post battle of Endor EU before those new movies cancel them from continuity (as did the prequels AND the Clone Wars with some pre-battle of Yavin tales). Although I am not going to read every little bit of EU (like the Jedi Prince stories. I will read those ones up on the wookiepedia... no need to waste time and money).
But lets get starting with the review. If one manages to forget, that this book's main plot can be summed up as Star Wars Vs. High Tech Dinosaurs... then it is a really nice read...not spectacular, at moments boring, but essential to the EU.

I did not like "Truce at… Read more

We (!) expected more from the return of the Jedi to the cinemas.
But back on topic:
In here you have the story of Darth Sidious and his master Darth Plagueis. We get to see how they both manipulate and scheme themselves to the very top of the food chain, it is a political thriller mostly, but it is not dull... it is fascinating. You get to know not only the real story of Star Wars, but you get the insight into so many Sith-teachings, it is almost frightening.
There are a lot of surprises in this book, a lot of known events take on… Read more
