Excellent book, very inventive and thought out.
Reminds me of the old Star Trek Technical manuals.
Great bedtime read (then you can dream of commanding your very own DeathStar!).

This book is extremely useful for both the academic and layperson, it explains in logical and easily understood ways the functioning of the human brain.
Most of us take our brains for granted and seldom think about just what an incredible device it is when it works normally and what it means to have a fault occur.
The author has done it again in explaining how science has arrived at its present understanding of the various areas of the brain and how they interact, she has also outlined those areas the require more research.
All in all I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
