Turn up the Heat by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Allison cleans aisles at Wal-Mart, but escapes her dreary life when she wins a vacation. Vince hides at the resort as the mob want him ded. They meet and sparks fly, but so do bullets.

Hunter's Oath by Jaid Black. Needing closure, Sofia heads to the Arctic Circle where her only relative her beloved brother died in a military helicopter crash. However, she is kidnapped and taken underground where she is put on the marriage auction block. Viking warrior Johen buys her, but now must persuade the Outsider that they belong together.

Servant of the Gods by Amy Wolff Sorter was not the book I was expecting. Deborah the prophet from the book of Judges in the Bible is best known for The Song of Deborah and her leading troops into battle with Barak. Sorter gives this story a historical romance treatment that may have Christians who are expecting traditional Biblical fiction up in arms. But this is a book that needs to be accepted on its own terms. Devorah (Sorter's name for the character) is a priestess of Anat about to undergo a major ritual for her people when she encounters Aryeh, a Mosesite from the tribe of Simeon. Both are shaken by the meeting and soon are fleeing for their lives from the repercussions.

New to the world of the night, THE ACCIDENTAL VAMPIRE Elvi Black struggles to adjust. She mourns her inability to get a tan, eat food especially pizza, and sleep in a bed as coffins are not particularly conducive to anything but the sleep of the dead. Her friends are worried about her adjustment so though she tried to hide her change, they know and try to hook her up with a male vampire though where to find one seems difficult as the matchmaking services don't mention anyone with a bite. Her neighbors place a personal ad seeking a vampiric hunk as a companion to a female nightcrawler.
