New GCSE Maths - Grade C Booster Workbook: AQA Mod&hellip

I am a secondary maths teacher with a set 3 year 11 class who are all targeting a C grade in the summer. I persuaded my head of department to buy a class set of these books and they are brilliant! All grade C topics are covered with the odd bit of D grade and a tiny bit of B grade. The exercises are set out topic by topic so when we have identified what pupils can't do they can work on that particular page of the book (which fits perfectly into a 50 minute lesson)and hopefully fill in the gaps in their knowledge. This is far better than endless past papers where pupils spend half their time answering the easy G/F grade questions and don't actually PRACTISE the bits they can't do… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!, 21 Dec 2011
Best knitting book I have ever read! Even for an experienced knitter there is so much to learn from it. Like other reviewers I was particularly impressed by the photography- which is bright and clear. The only critisism I can think of is that it is hard to curl up in an armchair and knit with it open on your knee being so big, but that doesn't detract from how good the book actually is.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish, 5 Nov 2011
The first CD Rom made by this company (Talk Now Afrikaans) is absolutely brilliant but unfortunately the next one in the series, Talk More Afrikaans is completely useless. The phrases are not directly translated so you don't really learn anything. Some of the translation is just wrong. (I am married to a native speaker).

THe most annoying thing is that they always tell you the English as well as the Afrikaans so you can't test yourself or get it to keep repeating the Afrikaans until you get the pronunciation.

The games are also useless because you can guess most of the answers without actually knowing much Afrikaans.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
