When a record label releases a compilation and boldly name it The Complete '61 Sessions, you expect the content to be just that. Well, this is far from complete with so many other recordings made in '61 missing.
The bigger crime in my opinion is that with all the thousands of available pictures from 1961, they picked a black and white shot from 1956 to adorn the front cover. This is so numbingly annoying.

Well if that was the case then by 1976 Elvis would have set fire to that painting.
The twice-yearly month-long appearances with mostly two shows a night from 1969 to 1976 that his manager contracted him to made him apathetic to the point of sickness and depression. Elvis didn't stay in Las Vegas because he wanted to, but because he was contracted to.
