I really like spoof books and I have soft spot for James Bond films (especially the old Sean Connery and Roger Moore ones which were a bit more tongue in cheek), so I was really looking forward to reading this book, and it didn't disappoint.
It is a ludicrous and funny caper, with some great one-liners (I did find myself laughing out loud), and I really liked the way it related to the 007's movies and novels, it's a good send-up. The book was an easy read with a steady pace that kept me enthralled to the end.
I agree with some of the reviewers that Terry Ravenscroft's references to Stockport were thin and that the book could have been set anywhere. I suppose… Read more
