One of those books that you make you sad when it ends. Beautiful, subtle story telling that convincingly draws you into a number of very different parallel worlds. One of those rare modern novels to which I know I will return.
RJM Ladies Black Coated Bucket Hat With Belt Detai&hellip Rjm

Wore it yesterday in heavy rain and moderately strong wind: my new hat kept my hair dry and remained on my head during gusts. Pleased. I won't wear my anarak hood when cycling (cuts down, dangerously, on peripheral vision) and would like to wear this hat. To do so, I will have to sew in an elastic chin strap for such occasions. This is something that the designers might think of incorporating, as the hat would make an ideal replacement for the fisherman's sou'wester some of us used to wear as child cyclists.
Seventeen Contradictions and the End of Capitalism by David Harvey

I am taking my time reading this extensive analysis of the state of capitalism in the 21st century post 2007 slump. David Harvey succeeds in presenting the complexity of the subject in clear understandable prose. Consequently, whilst the situation being described and analysed is dire, paradoxically, the reading is enjoyable. The pleasure comes from learning really useful knowledge and David Harvey deomonstrates in this book that he is a superb teacher.
