Hard to believe this gem has yet to be reviewed, let me remedy. Comprising over fifteen pieces of new music and with a running time in excess of an hour, it's business as usual for The Gasman. His tenth album of music and the seventh for the mighty Mu imprint, it's a bold work, with less of his 'Gaylord' sound and a more modern classical edge. If you're familiar with his music, then I'm sure you will already own this collection; if you do not, then this is as good a place as any to start.

This has to be one of the top albums of 2008 and yet more evidence of the greatness of… Read more

I will be succinct: I bought this book for its sexy cover created by the talented Mr Horn (no pun), however, the actual artwork is by a number of relatively unknown artists and is at best proficient. The story is, for the most part, about a teenage Emma Frost and as bildungsroman is a fun read - hence my awarding it two stars. My main objection to the book is that is makes no reference to the X-Men or the Hellfire Club, it is rather a story of a teenage girl struggling to fit in at home and at school, but one that has no anchor in the Marvel universe. In conclusion, if you want to read a story of a young girl and her troubles, this is the book for you; if you want to read the story of how… Read more
