3.0 out of 5 stars Very limited, 10 Jun 2013
Lovely line drawing of pictures, but that's it. No descriptions of the garments of what they were made from etc. Also, the pictures are all the same size. No in depth pictures of hats or specific areas of dress.

Also, a big negative is that the costumes are all from the elite side of society. If you wanted to know what the common man/woman wore instead of kings and queens, you are out of luck. I think I will try to get a better book.

Mummy - This is Rubbish! This is what my daughter said to me when we put this on! I am so glad it was a present and I didn't waste any money on this. My daughter is 2 yrs and this was far too babyish for her even though it is meant for 1.5 - 3 yrs. It is very limited and we finished it in under an hour. The animations are repeated on the different screens, so if you see the Elephant on one screen, he sings the same song in the abc screen, the numbers screen, etc and it is really boring. The font used for the ABC learning is a 'comic' shaped font, so it would be hard for a child to recognise the actual shape of a letter. And a lot of the animations didn't make sense anyway. All this… Read more
