What a brilliant machine this is! I was lounging by the pool in Singapore when I noticed there was a Wi-Fi signal. I lay back and browsed for a few books by various authors that had come to mind (something that doesn't happen when I am in a bookshop), downloaded a few samples, read them and ordered the books that I liked - all downloaded in seconds.
It would be nice to have a colour version as I also use it on a MacBook which has an easier interface than the Kindle itself and is of course back-lit so you can read in the near dark without straining your eyes.

Muslim? Catholic? Calithumpian? Read this book to see how you have all been hoodwinked for a few thousand years by the greatest scam ever. Check out his website for more no-holds-barred non-politically correct comments on diverse subjects. The recent riots in Britain especially relevant.

This is a quirky movie - in Japanese with subtitles - with sub plots running along in the story line. Tampopo is a girl in a man's noodle world who is trying to outdo the competition with the help of a few "friends". Noodle shops are an art form in Japan and the right noodles, texture, soup etc are all required to keep the customers coming back. Despite her initial lack of success, things improve of course building up to the finale. There is a new Japanese restaurant chain in Singapore called "Tampopo", but none of the staff have ever heard of the movie - though I imagine the owner has; probably a fan of the movie like me.
