In My Own Words:
I'm a nurse living in County Durham with my cats and dogs. I've been a Heathen for at least a decade and would describe my tradition as "Progressive Anglian", though I'm also interested in our Romano-british heritage here in the north east as well.

I like to read anything about Heathenry, English culture (ancient and modern), Indo-European Philosophy, Runes, Wiccecraeft, Seidr, Leechcraft, Tarot, Northern English Cookery, and my interests include Motorcycles, Travel and Cinema.

Halloween Ghost White Creme Powder Compact Foundat&hellip by Laval
I really like this white powder and have used it beyond Halloween as a nicely pale setting powder for my regular make-up. I found it goes on better with a powder brush than the puff provided, since it gives a more even coverage. I tried Stargazer white powder a few years back and found it horribly patchy and chalky (their white foundation was ok though), and it kind of put me off buying any more white powder til I found out Laval made one. I've found most Laval products I've tried to be excellent quality for the price, and so I thought I'd give it a go since my skin is so pale it's well nigh impossible for me to get a pale enough base from regular high-street brands and I've wasted so much… Read more
Salon Fashion Permanent Hair Colour 8.3 Beige Blon&hellip

I've used this hair colour now for ages and, for the price, I don't think it can be beaten! I use either the extra light blonde or beige blonde shades on my hair, and both lighten my hair to a nice strawberry blonde shade. No other box dye I've tried lightens my roots so effectively, and yet it leaves my hair in gorgeous condition (the boxes now come with a conditioner sachet which leaves the hair even softer - they didn't before but the addition is well worth it IMO!) I'd not hesitate to recommend these to anyone - well worth a look particularly if you're mousey and want to try going lighter!
White Halloween Face Foundation (Vampires) by Stargazer
I agree with the other reviewer that this foundation is really rather too sheer, and in my opinion far too irridescent to use as a stand-alone base for everyday wear. Mixed in with one of Laval's other Secret Beauty shades with more coverage though (such as Opal) it would make a wonderfully ethereal, gothic-style foundation with a hint of pearlescence. It can also be used as a highlighting or brightening cream - it's kind of like moonlight in a tube really I think! The Secret Beauty foundations in general are the best I've ever tried for ease of application, texture on the skin etc etc. They also don't bring me out in any spots or rashes, which is a huge plus as my skin is really… Read more
