This is a fantastic book! My son and I, who is 9, read this together and for the first time in years he laid down and was simply hypnotised by the swirling imagery of Africa and Alaska and the beautiful language that seemed to weave a spell as it told the sad, yet uplifting story of the boy and the wolf who were brought togther through a shared experience of adversity. It is now our favourite book and proof that children can enjoy something more advanced than silly antics and simplistic language.
Read it and see!

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving stuff, 28 Oct 2007
I studied the play, 'A streetcar named Desire' for A level and found it to be devastatingly truthful about human nature. It shows the profound effect that desire and the need to feel desirable can have.
One of the main characters, 'Stanley' is one of those men that women hate to love, yet feel instictively drawn to, he's strong, masculine and sexy, yet at the same time he is overly opinionated, violent and dominating.
Not the kind of man you 'should' be attracted to, yet so many women find themselves in the position that they are! Why is this? Williams explores the complexities of issues such as this. Loved it!

This album combines some of her work from previous albums, picking out a few of her best, such as 'Destiny' which she did with zero seven and 'Blow it all away' from her, 'Healing is difficult' album and mixes them with a few new tracks. I particularly love, 'lentil' and her cover of the Pretenders, 'I go to sleep' which is sung with so much emotion that it is almost painfully beautiful to listen to. It is just a shame there are only nine tracks to enjoy, encore sia!!!!I… Read more
