The album would have been better if he had used real drums. This is a purely techno album. The song writing was strong, and Palmer's vocals were good. This is definitely a concept album. After a long series of eclectic albums made between 1969 and 1990, Palmer started making concept albums - Ridin High (cabaret in 1992), Living In Fear (hard rock 1996) and Drive (blues 2003). R&B is an essential part of the Palmer canon. True Love and Stonecold are two of the best songs he ever wrote.
