This fryer is excellent. It does make great chips, which is what I bought it for. I part cook them and then let the oil heat up again and finish them off (see Belgian chips on the internet for recipes). Cleaning up is easy and the supplied equipment make this the easiest fryer I have had for filtering the oil and refilling the pan. I have no criticism of this product apart from possibly a stronger heating element to speed the cooking up, but sometimes good things take time and fluffy crispy chips are worth it.

A simple product which works really well, It makes great mashed potatoes, though swede seems to be a bit watery when "riced". I would recommend this to anyone wanting a ricer.

The blade lifts out when the safety switch is released and it will be easy to sharpen: a lot better than my old slicer. My family like the chips I make but the slicing surface is a little bent, not flat, and so you need to use small to medium potatoes as big ones make chips that snap in two or three as you make them due to the wavy… Read more
