The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort
The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort

If you've seen the film, you will want to read this book of how the author cheated and lied his way to riches, womanised, took drugs, betrayed his best friends - and was finally declared bankrupt. I cringed on every page reading what Belfort got up to and how he got away with it - for a time - yet the author is a natural storyteller who does not spare himself. Has he changed? He's done time, will be paying back what he stole for the rest of his life and yet -- he's somehow bounced back.

All I can say is, thank goodness I'm a vegetarian. This book pulls no punches in describing today's cruel methods of meat farming, all over the world.

This book tells, though a series of old and new photographs, how a town changes over time -- and not necessarily for the better. There is very little text, but the pictures tell the story dramatically enough
