3.0 out of 5 stars Ambitious but rubbish, 27 Sep 2009
This really is a mixed bag, The polar special is very very good, the extra content and the new soundtrack work very well, and for that I'd recommend it.

However the American Road Trip is poor, I expected that it would be the directors cut with a load of extra content like the the Polar Special disk, while there is extra content theres also been a load of bits cut (I'm not sure, but it could be the shortened Dave version with a couple of extra bits.) The other problem is that while the new soundtrack on the polar special (mostly film music from Bond and Zulu) the music (if I can call it that) for the US road trip is just generic Muzak and is utter rubbish, to the point of being… Read more

After seeing the movie had to buy this, and I am a little dissapointed with it, the film had so many great tracks that are not included here (There were at least 3 differed AC DC tracks, including 'Back in Black' which was played for a decent amount of time.
Another dissapointment was the choice of Darkness track, 'Black Shuck' (the track used on the film) is in my opinion the best Darckness have ever done!!! instead they include 'Growing on me' a track which is majorly overplayed.
In all this is good album, but it could have been so much better
