The god of small things is a window into the world of a family that has been scattered due to mistakes, mishappening's and lust. It show's how small thing's can play a part in something so vast and prodigious.
The book follow's the story of two fraternal twins, Eshta and Rahel who were split whilst they were teen's due a misshappening in which they played a major role. It also explores the story of their mother, Ammu, Chacko , their grandmother Baby kochamma ,the untouchable Velutha and their cousin Sophie mol .
