I love this album, love both the instantly-recognisable voice and the everyday, ordinary lyrics that have become a hallmark of Tom Petty. Even though the lyrics talk of commonplace events, they are nevertheless well crafted and relevant. There are no weak tracks on this album, and the vocals are strong. Jeff Lynne's stamp is very evident throughout; the music big, beefy, relentless - with resounding endings.

More welcome familiarity unfolds with repeated playings:

"Flirting With Time" with its crashing beat is reminiscent of "Every Little Thing" from Armchair Theatre by Jeff Lynne, while in "Turn This Car Around", Tom Petty sings, "I'm going back" with just as much… Read more

This little book is a good source of knowledge - it lists over 400 species of trees in Britain and Europe. in easy-to-follow colour coding. Take it with you while walking, it fits easily into a pocket, for easy tree recognition. The index includes common names and latin names. Wouldn't be without it!
