5.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed this!, 19 Jun 2014
There is not much I can say about this that hasn't already been said, but I found the whole thing really entertaining, gory, plenty of action, violence, and the whole thing was just so believable! Extremely good acting from Sarah Lancashire, Charlie Murphy, and James Norton. If any of those three don't get anything for the acting skills in this programme, then there is something wrong with the entire Awards system!

I even felt a bit sorry for Tommy at the end, but that was mainly due to the excellent script of Sally Wainwright, and James Norton's good acting!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 6 Jun 2014
Having seen the film, I couldn't wait for the DVD to come out. When it finally did, I obtained it. Subtitles very helpful. I have the original book of "The Hobbit" and it is the shortest Tolkien book of the lot, so I don't really understand why it has been made into a three part film! having said that, I shall certainly see part three of the film, and also obtain the DVD when it comes out sometime next year?

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely good, 6 Jun 2014
Have just finished watching this. Very good plot, and a good twist at the end, although it wasn't the twist I thought it was going to be!
Good acting by John Simm ensured it never flagged, and I looked forward to watching it every Monday night, which resulted in me getting the DVD.

Although no subtitles are mentioned on the back of the DVD, it does have them, although it isn't very clear how to get them- I found out through trial and error! Worth purchasing!
