In Love And Death (Pa Version) ~ The Used

After the deserved success of their self-tilted debut in 2002, the Used's second album was hotly anticipated within the post-hardcore/screamo/extremo (what is it the genre actually called?) circles and in my opinion it does not disappoint:)
When comparing the two albums, on the surface nothing much has change, but after a few more listens you'll find slight differences, lyrically they've improved and production is a little bit slicker now. The faster songs are more heavier this time around, but there's still plenty of slower tracks for all you emo fans out there!
Best songs off the album for me are 'take it away', 'listen', 'cut up angels' and 'I'm a fake'.

Handshake Of Bullets ~ Kinesis
4.0 out of 5 stars A decent rock album, 12 Oct 2003
A decent debut album from a promising British rock band. Kinesis are a quiet a young band, between 18 to 20 years old (i think), but they make great energetic rock like they've been doing it for years. Best track for me is definitely '...and they obey', that single gets me jumping and dancing around my room whever its on.
'Handshakes for Bullets' is worth getting if your a fan of UK bands like 'Biffy Clyro' and 'Hell is for Heros'.
Say It Like You Mean It ~ The Starting Line
Say It Like You Mean It ~ The Starting Line

If you like any of the 'drive-thru records' bands, especially New Found Glory, then you will 100% love the Starting line.
Produced by Mark Trombino (who also produced Blink 182's classic Dude Ranch album) it is pack full of catchy 'pop punk' songs but with bit more feeling than some of their counterparts i.e Sum 41. My personal best track off the album is 'This Ride' which features Nate Barcalow of Finch, another Drive-thru band.
It only gets 4 out of 5 stars because I feel they sound too much like NFG and the sound is also slightly overproduced, but if none of that bothers you, than sit back, listen and enjoy.
