False Friends: The 9th Spider Shepherd Thriller by Stephen Leather

5.0 out of 5 stars Just awesome, 17 May 2013
Stephen Leather is my favourite British crime writer. His extremely high standards are consistently maintained and his energy, pace and plots are current and designed to keep you turning pages.

This time, Spider is up against some home grown terrorists and also some naughty Islamic nutters. Can he save the day? Of course he can, but sit back and enjoy the ride.
The Armada Legacy by Scott Mariani
The Armada Legacy by Scott Mariani

Scott Mariani writes fantastic adventure thrillers. His series of Ben Hope books shows no signs of slowing down.

The story of The Armada Legacy is pretty simple. Someone close to Ben gets kidnapped, Ben tries to get them back. A sub-plot involving Spanish royalty and ancient tribes combine to make this an exciting page-turner.

Ben teams up with an unlikely partner, one whom has his own agenda, and this new addition to the proceedings adds an extra dimension to the overall dynamic.

Looking forward to the next!
The Time Hunters and the Box of Eternity (Book 2 i&hellip by Carl Ashmore
5.0 out of 5 stars Utterly brilliant, 21 April 2013
This is, without doubt, one of the most charming books I've had the pleasure to read.

The underlying theme of love, hope, unity and family combine with the humour, action and characters on the page to give you a wonderful book that is right up their with J K Rowling for sheer joyful reading.

Slightly darker than the previous book in the series, the Box of Eternity continues to delight with more time travelling, revelations and some surprise appearances from historical characters.

If you've read Michael Scott's Nicolás Flamel series or Alex Scarrow's TimeRiders books then give these a go. You will not be disappointed. An absolute pleasure to read.
