I am used to the top class quality of 60ts soul compilations from Adey and Kent, but I believe this is the best yet. Motown Mod Fave Raves - Volume 1 ~ Various Artists

This CD is quite a mixture. Around 5 out and out northern vibes with Tommy Good and Martha's One Way Out leading the way, mixed with several "club"/Twisted Wheel sounds such as the Velvelettes duo, finishing with records that were always more popular in the States than the UK, including Too Many Fish...., Hey Harmonica Man and others.
For the money an outstanding buy and a thoughtful mix. My favourites? Got to be One Way Out, absolutely classic Northern Motown, closely followed by the Detroit Spinners and Earl Van Dyke (The Funk Brothers. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
