I found this book to be a real page turner. I couldn't put it down.
The antagonist was truly evil, we learn more about Doakes, and the ending was fantastic. Plenty of humour sprinkled throughout. What an entertaining mix.
Having started watching the tv series, I just had to read the first Dexter book. I really enjoyed it, it broadly followed the tv series but the differences meant that the two complemented each other.
I absolutely loved the second Dexter book, one of the best books I've read in years (and I read quite a bit). How they're going to adapt it to tv I don't know, but I do know I'll be watching the next series avidly.
