Renovado ~ Jerry Galante
Renovado ~ Jerry Galante
Jerry Galante was a big salsa singer from Colombia in the 1990s. This offering from around 2000 finds him fronting a swinging dance band.
Crackers are the Galante boogaloo and the driving Al paso and Pa' bailador (for the dancer).
There exists a sort of deluxe version of this cd that includes 2 great bonus tracks: Se prendio el rombon and Nadie manda al corazon.

This twofer is the best compilation of the english Beat, that came up in the wake of the Specials and the Two-Tone movement.
CD 1 presents all their greatest hits and best tracks while CD2 makes this the best compilation: remixes and dub versions of CD1, that stand alone as a great album.
The Best of Cannonball Adderley: The Capitol Years ~ Cannonball Adderley
I admit immediately I am not a jazz fan except for the big bands of the 1930s-40s.
So I like this live compilation as a great jazz-soul set of wellknown tracks with great bands.
The first 3 tracks are the most jazz with too long versions of the fine Work song and The jive samba.
That makes the tracks 4 to 8 the best with downhome classics as Mercy mercy me, Why am i treated so bad and Country preacher
