5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read Prequel!, 21 May 2013
This intriguing prequel to The ShadowLight Saga reveals a bit of the history and inner workings of the mind of the mysterious warrior maiden Astrid, also known as Swan later in the story. We get to see her in a completely different and unexpected light in this action-packed and detail-rich short story. It gives wonderful insights into her relationship with her mother and her struggle with a seductive, evil force that hunts her: The Shadow.

A MUST READ for fans of The ShadowLight Saga and lovers of romantic, richly crafted fantasy.

"Bonded," book one of the ShadowLight Saga has it all: the rich and diverse feel of a fantasy world reminiscent of middle earth, courageous and engaging young heroes and heroines discovering their amazing abilities and destinies, and battles with a seductive evil from a dark and ruined land. Sometimes tense, sometimes humorous, this beautifully written story is captivating from beginning to end. And best of all, this only the beginning of a journey into fantasy writing at its best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Underdog Duo!, 22 Jan 2012
Simon and Rupert are good little boys with a very bad problem: Everett, their abusive step-father. Told from the perspective of the younger child, `Rupe', the injustice, misery and hopelessness which opens the story is a heartbreaking and emotional read. But the outworking of courage, ingenuity and resolve of these seemingly helpless little fellows is uplifting and incredibly satisfying. You'll never root for a more deserving pair of underdogs than in this page-turner by master story teller Jason McIntyre. Five Stars!
