I was in the middle of series 7 so it is very annoying that all of a sudden I can not watch the series! Why have you taken it off of prime and will you be making it available again? Thankyou

This isn't customer services.
The licence agreement between the studio and amazon must have expired. When this happens, you have to pay to watch each episode... There is normally a message on your watchlist advising that the licence to view the title is about to expire.

You could try asking Amazon customer services if they know when the licence is likely to be negotiated......

I was in the middle of season 4, watched one episode then when I went to click the next it told me I had to pay! I had no warning! Please make it free again soon!

They can't just make it free again. If the studio doesn't wish to sell them the rights (Perhaps because they are playing hard ball or they have sold them elsewhere) or they want more than Amazon feel is fair and neither will budge then they can't make it available for free. Doing so would get them in legal trouble and potentially damage their other deals to sell that studios content

It is to do with the studio as they emailed me to let me know it was being removed. However, Amazon have increased the price of the box set by £20 in the last week so it more than likely is to make money from people purchasing it because they were halfway through.

If your smart you'll just buy each box set in used condition. I just got season 1 for £2 :)

This is extremely annoying I had just began season 4 and now it has been removed! SO ANNOYING JUST WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO WRITE AMAZON PRIME A BRILLIANT REVIEW. Up until I saw that they are now charging for desperate housewives per episode I would have never considered going back to Netflix or NowTV but that has now been changed... :(

What do you expect them to do if the deals expired? Keep showing it just to suit the likes of yourself and risk getting themselves blacklisted not just for subscription streaming rights but also Digital Purchases/rentals and DVD/Bluray rights.

Deals end, it happens at Amazon, It happens at Netflix and it happens at NowTV. Unlike Netflix though Amazon also sell/rent titles on an a la carte basis so when the subscription streaming ends they can provide an alternative which isn't really a bad thing.
