I am in the UK and trying to purchase a few MP3's but I can't get the site to accept my credit card. My credit card billing address is a stateside address. Can someone please tell me how I can make my purchases since I am in the UK physically?

I don't think you can without a UK issued card. Can you buy them from the .com site.

Would I have to pick up an Amazon gift card in a local shop?

Also no, the MP3's I am trying to buy aren't available via the US .com site.

I am not sure that would work unless you opened a new account giving UK details. Try it by buying a cheap gift card (etype) on the UK site you can do this with your USA log in details and payment details and try and use it with a new account. The advantage of the e cards is that they can be for any value so long as you have the number you can apply it to any account.

According to the Amazon terms: " To purchase music from the Amazon.co.uk MP3 Store, you must have an Amazon account, a UK billing address and a 1-Click payment method issued by a UK bank."
