I have just got a new kindle paperwhite. I am trying to import my collections from my kindle touch but it is not giving me the option. I have gone on to cloud on my new kindle, downloaded all of my books but when I go to the drop down menu it doesnt give me the option to import collections. Any ideas anyone? Thank you =]

they're already imported the moment you connected via wifi (they won't import via 3G) as long as you registered to the same account

change the center All/My Items or Books to Collections and you'll need to press on each collection and make it visible on your Home page, then switch back so your Home page looks like this:

Cloud ___ On Device (highlighted) ___ All/My Items ___ Collections

also, be aware that if you had books in a collection and simply removed them from your kindle in the past, those books will still be in the collection to which they were originally assigned (they will be in a light grey font)

Ive done that, the next problem is that when I first got my kindle touch I set up collctions and then changed them all about 6 months ago. The collections that are showing are all my old collection not the new ones. I have tried to sync my old kindle to update the collections I know have but that doesnt seem to have worked and it will take me hours to change and move all my books!

you need to connect your Touch via wifi, sync and then (unfortunately this is the only way I know) you need to reset your Paperwhite to Factory defaults and reset it up and then it will import all of the collections you've ever had (I ended up with several Read collections from various other kindles registered to my account) and then you'll end up with your old and your new ones (I ended up with collections from 5 different kindles on my Paperwhite and had to do some house cleaning)

Still not able to download purchased books from Amazon to kindle. Help!

What have you tried? Have you tried everything suggested here?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/forums/kindleqna/ref=help_forum_faq3?cdThread=Tx22VXLMADXVK4Q&forumID=Fx3RLE6WY0PI1B4&ie=UTF8

This thread isn't about downloading books - it's possible you might never have got a response to your question. So it's a good idea to start a new discussion when you have anew question.
