Use a free WiFi hotspot or ask your ISP for a WiFi router. If you have bought a Kindle Fire then you really need WiFi at home.

You have to make a connection over WiFi. Or, if you don't have WiFi at home, get the 3G model and use that over the phone signal.

You can WiFi connect at many places for free: neighbours, library, Starbucks, MacDonald, many pubs etc. You need to do this once.
Once you have connected and registered, you can then download books via a PC and the USB connection - but WiFi is so easy it is better to put your efforts and thoughts into getting WiFi organised. A simple click on the right product at amazon.co.uk is all it takes
