Credit card details changed but books not downloading

I have altered the details of my credit card on my amazon account as I had been notified with a problem. I had previously tried to purchase 5books and now they won't download to my kindle. The books appear with a note saying Theresa's a problem with my credit Rd details which I have now changed. When I went back into my kindle it said they were downloading and the he same message is appearing and I cannot see the books.

You did not follow a link on an email you received did you as these are all scams. If so go into your account directly and change your password and check everything is ok.
